Sun, sea and plenty of sport on the Peloponnesian coast.
When you visit the Westin, be sure to pack your trainers. The Resort is just a short drive from the birthplace of the Olympics, and walking the ruins of the stadium and temples might leave you feeling inspired to get active.
The resort itself looks out over the Navarino Dunes and the Ionian Sea on Costa Navarino. It’s an area rich with thousands of years of history, and there are plenty of palaces, tombs, Byzantine churches and temples to explore. But you don’t need to leave the resort to get your heart rate up. Alongside the two 18-hole Championship two golf courses, there’s waterskiing, tennis, diving, cycling and plenty else to try. Your kids won’t be bored either, with a water park and packed games area.
When it’s time to take a well-earned break, head back to your cool Messinian-inspired low-rise natural stone room. Most of the 445 rooms and suites look out over the sea, and come with your own private infinity pool. Although our favourite is the spacious two-bathroomed family suite, which doesn’t have its own pool.
If you’re visiting in the Spring or Autumn, grab your binoculars and head to the Gialova Lagoon to spot some of the hundreds of species of migrating birds that visit every year.
