At the end of the world in Patagonia.
This hotel sits on a bluff where the pampa meets Lake Sarmiento, and the reflection of the panorama in the deep blue water adds another eye-catching dimension.
There are a few places around the world that genuinely take your breath away. Patagonia is one of them. Sat fireside in your cosy, contemporary lodgings, looking through the floor-to-ceiling windows at the soaring snow-capped Torres del Paine mountains, it’s easy to lose yourself.
Everything at the Tierra Patagonia is geared around making the most of the remarkable vista. Slip into the indoor heated pool or retreat to your chic wood-panelled room, and you’ll still enjoy views out across the lake to the peaks beyond.
But of course, you didn’t come to the end of the world to sit indoors all day. You can head out with small groups of fellow travellers on guided expeditions designed to match your fitness level. Drink it all in on a 4×4 drive if you want to take it easy, or challenge yourself with a full-day hike up to the Base of the Towers. Be warned, it’s not for the faint of heart – but the views from the lookout are well worth the effort.
