The Cotton House
Saint Vincent & the Grenadines
Boutique property set on the private Grenadine island of Mustique.
The term ‘exclusive’ may well have been coined for the island of Mustique. Bought by Lord Glenconner in the late 50s, it’s been home to Princess Margaret, Tommy Hilfiger and Mick Jagger. Kate Middleton and Prince William often holiday there, too.
The Cotton House is the oldest building on the island. Spread across 17 acres, it’s part of a resort made up of rooms and villas, alongside various bars, restaurants and shops.
Whichever room you choose, you’ll have a private patio or wraparound veranda. If waking up to the bright blue ocean is your thing, then go for a deluxe seaview room, with your own plunge pool and outdoor shower with sunset views. If you’d rather be surrounded by nature, try a garden cottage further inland and relax on a large private veranda looking out over the trees.
And if you’re there on a Sunday, take a stroll or hop into a golf buggy (there are no cars on the island) to spend the evening watching a film. The Cotton House put on an outdoor cinema night every weekend, so you can while away the evening with a movie under the stars.
The Cotton House is on the private island of Mustique, which is a 50-minute flight from Barbados or St Lucia. There are no direct flights from the UK.
