Six Senses Yao Noi

Spectacular views over Phang Nga bay and fine dining at an eco-friendly idyll.

We definitely think it’s worth paying for an ocean view when you stay at Yao Noi. The Ocean Panorama Pool Villa is our pick of the bunch, but any of the villas that let you look out over the huge limestone pinnacles in Phang Nga Bay are pretty spectacular. The villas themselves are all spacious, from one to four bedrooms, and rustic but sophisticated. Think local timber panels, palm frond thatch and wooden walkways that wind through the foliage and around waterfalls.

The touch of class paired with the splendor of nature is a signature of Yao Noi – it’s simple and seductive. The resort is very eco-friendly: they recycle their own water, and use oxygenating plants to clean their pools. But this is still a five-star resort, so of course you’ll have a dedicated GEM (guest experience manager), your own private pool and every modern comfort.

Yao Noi is very much a food-lover’s destination, too. Try breakfast at The Dining Room, watching the creek rush by below through the glass floor. Then a Thai lunch by the beach at The Living Room, and finally watch the chef prepare dinner personally for you at Chef’s Table.
