Singita Pamushana, Malilangwe & Gonarezhou

Zimbabwe

Off-grid safari and sundowners at sunset.

Singita Pamushana is a diamond in the rough, completely off-grid and mercifully untrammelled. With only six-suites, it feels as if this ancient land of Mopane forests and baobab trees is yours for the taking.

Designed with an eye for traditional Zimbabwean style that beautifully reflects its surroundings, the lodge has intricate roof top thatching, bold African prints and stone walled plunge pools. Each massive suite has spectacular views over the dam and hills beyond, while the 5-bedroom enormous villa is just perfect for a family gathering.

As for safari, you can track myriad wildlife including the black rhino, wild dog, roan antelope and sable while your local Shangaan guide unravels the history of the land. You can walk to where some of the best-preserved ancient rock art dates back over two thousand years. Investigate the ancient markings of hunting tribes and native wildlife that has captivated man since the dawn of time.

Back at camp, you can enjoy a massage on the deck at dusk or take a dip in the Jacuzzi. And if you’re not ready to call it a day after that, we can arrange a sunset cruise on the dam, complete with ice-cold gin and tonics.
