Linkwasha Camp, Hwange

Modern luxury and poolside animal spotting in one of Zimbabwe’s prime safari locations.

Overlooking a pan that is a draw for wildlife year round, Linkwasha stands in a private concession on the east side of Hwange National Park. It’s modern, stylish, open-air feel makes it one of the park’s most luxurious offerings.

Both walking safaris and game drives are offered with well-qualified, professional guides. Its location on the eastern end of Hwange National Park allows easy access to Ngamo Plains which is known for its large herds of elephant and buffalo as well as predators such as cheetah and lion. Here you also benefit from staying in a private concession which permits night drives and more exclusive wildlife viewing.

Look out over the open plain from the large infinity pool as an array of animals graze before you. Watch the sunset as wildlife make their way to the watering hole for a drink and see flocks of impressive cranes glide in, silhouetted at dusk for a magical sight.

Raised platforms connect each of the nine glass fronted tents, including two family tents, to the decks that make up the main area where a library, cosy lounge and bar can be found as well as a smart dining area where evening meals are served at individual tables, perfect for romantic dinners.

For a unique experience, spend the night under the African sky in the Star Bed and gaze up at the myriad of stars as they shimmer above. It’s truly unforgettable.
