Old time elegance in the heart of Lima’s creative centre.
Hotel B sets the benchmark for boutique hotels in Lima. You’ll find it in the Barranco suburb of the city, home to artists, musicians and other creative types for over a century. From there, you’ve only got a short walk to the beach or the famous Bridge of Sighs.
The building itself was designed by French architect Claude Sahut, who also worked on many of Lima’s most famous landmarks, including the Government Palace. It’s in the style of the Belle Époque; think ornate marble, exotic woods, high ceilings and wide terraces.
The hotel has 17 rooms, all of which are spacious, but we think the Atelier Suites are the best if available. You’ll find towering high ceilings, elegant French doors and white marble bathrooms with rain showers.
Hotel B is also part hotel, part art gallery. Wander its corridors and you’ll find works from Peru’s most talented artists, thanks to the Lucia de la Puente gallery next door. And afterwards, you can head to the rooftop terrace to enjoy a pisco sour with a Pacific Ocean view.
