Dulini Lodge, Kruger

South Africa

Tranquillity and riverside luxury in leopard country.

Tucked away beneath the shade of ancient ebony trees, Dulini’s location is pure bliss. You couldn’t ask for a more picturesque place for animal spotting, and you won’t have far to go for it either.

Dulini is all about tranquillity and, with just six suites, it’s a truly peaceful and private place to stay. Dotted along the Mabrak River, their thatched roofs create a rustic feel, but the plunge pools and luxurious interiors are anything but. Each comes with a large deck, perfect for viewing the game grazing down by the riverbed just metres away.

Activities include game drives and walks in the prime Big Five Sabi Sands. It’s not uncommon to tick off most of your viewing wish list on the very first outing, as your expert guide and Shangaan trackers vast knowledge and interpretive skills make for an exceptional safari experience.

As the sun goes down, the romance of this intimate camp kicks in. Dine al fresco under the ancient jackalberry, in the boma or steal away for a romantic candlelit dinner in the well-stocked wine cellar.
