Sun, sport and sightseeing at a family-friendly Sardinian resort.
There’s a little something for everyone at Chia Laguna. You can lounge by the pools under the Mediterranean sun, cocktail in hand gazing lazily down at Baia Chia. You can head out onto the dunes, to spot free roaming pink flamingo flocking at the lagoon. For other exotic creatures, you can go further afield to the Basso Sulcis Nature Park, where wild boar and golden eagles make their homes.
If you prefer people watching to animal watching, the pretty town of Cagliari is less than an hour away. Spend a few hours wandering the museums and Roman ruins, or sipping Aperol Spritz at a café on one of the tree-lined streets. Chia Laguna has plenty for budding sportspeople of all ages, too. It’s home to one of the most prestigious golf academies in Italy, and there are dance and football academies for children that run throughout the summer months.
After a busy day, Piazza degli Ulivi is where the resort comes together to spend the evening. You’ll find live music and cabaret most nights, as well as a selection of designer boutique shops. Work up an appetite on the dancefloor, and then take your seat for fresh pizza from a traditional wood-fired oven.
