Cape Lodge, Western Australia

An exclusive boutique hotel, a beautiful backdrop and your own private vineyard.

When you stay at Cape Lodge, you’ll feel like you’re visiting an old private country estate – if that estate had the trappings of a five-star private boutique hotel, that is.

Cape Lodge is in the heart of Margaret River wine country, which is one of the world’s biodiversity hotspots. You’ll find pristine beaches, epic coastline and great conditions for surfing and snorkelling. Set in 40 acres of manicured parkland and ornamental lakes, the Lodge itself is made up of 22 secluded rooms with garden or lake views. Or, for something really special, you can try the palatial five-bedroom private residence. If you stay at the residence, look out for works by artists like Bec Juniper and Jenni Doherty on the walls.

If you’re a culinary enthusiast, there’s the gourmet cookery school with lessons from special guest chefs. Otherwise, dine at the Lodge’s Dining Room, which has been called one of the finest of the new generation of Australian restaurants. You’ll be served seasonal locally grown food, paired with vintage wines from the Lodge’s own cellars. We’re big fans of the Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz, which the hotel produces exclusively for guests in its own eight-acre vineyard.
