High-octane safari and camp couture.
Far from your traditional safari camp, Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge is the perfect Delta retreat.
Its enormous organic timber structure comprises of 12 cocoon-like suites, each with private pool, designed to mimic a weaver bird’s nest. They peep out of the forest canopy, like the overlapping scales of a pangolin, and are cleverly elevated off the ground to give you wonderfully undisturbed views of the Okavango Delta.
There’s plenty of extraordinary wildlife around the camp. Wander the land on game drives or on foot, and you could find leopards, an elusive coalition of cheetahs or, possibly, elephants splashing in the shallow water. The birdwatching is excellent too. We strongly recommend taking part in a bush walk or night drive during your stay – the best way to get a different perspective of life in the Delta.
The food and drink is one of our favourite things about this lodge. Before dinner, you can sip on a cocktail in the sunken lounge while looking out over a sea of papyrus and wild palms. While at dinner time, gather around the open kitchen to watch the chefs cook up their world-class creations.
