Fine dining and panoramic poolside views in the classiest part of Lima.
A sunset dip in the rooftop pool, with views out over the never-ending Pacific Ocean, is a must when you stay at the Belmond Miraflores. This 81 room hotel somehow manages to feel much smaller, thanks to the attentive service and more intimate layout.
Our favourite rooms are the Junior suites, where you’ll find a marble bathroom and views out over the city or the ocean – depending on your preference. Or for something really special, try one of the four Presidential suites. Each of these has its own private terrace with a plunge pool, as well as a Jacuzzi and sauna.
There are three bars and restaurants in the hotel, too. Tragaluz is a Lima destination, combining classic Peruvian flavours with Asian cuisine (make sure you leave time for a cocktail on their ocean-view terrace before your meal). The best spot for breakfast is the Observatory, up on the 11th floor, which looks out over the city and the sea, and for drinks, it’s the Belo cocktail bar – understated and elegant.
Leaving the hotel you’ll step out into upmarket Miraflores. Museums, shops, bars, restaurants and eye-catching colonial architecture are right on your doorstep.
