Amanemu, Ise-Shima

Contemporary hot springs luxury with a view.

Maple and cherry trees line the entrance to Amanemu, setting the scene for very relaxing stay. Overlooking the expansive blue water of Ago Bay, the this ultraluxe hot spring resort is the perfect complement to any trip to Japan. In contrast to sister property Aman Tokyo, it’s rural setting in Ise-Shima National Park is a breath of very fresh air.

Soothing light wood and natural materials fill each of the suites and villas with light, taking you even closer to the nature you see through expansive windows. Soak in your own private onsen (natural hot spring bath) while gazing out over the national park. Our personal favourite, the Nagi Suite, offers great views of the bay and an unbeatable feeling of serenity.

Spend time on the hotel’s sunken terrace next to a crackling fire pit or look out over the silhouetted forest and hills from the infinity watsu pool deck. You might even want to pick up some bikes and add a touch of adventure into your relaxation by exploring the bay which is dotted with oyster rafts, idyllic islets, and rocky beaches.

Food is high focus, so you won’t be disappointed with the menu’s at Amanemu, especially if you are a fan of Japanese food. Incredible locally-sourced seafood and renowned Matsusaka Wagyu beef are creatively whipped into exquisite dishes, all served beautifully.
