Eco-friendly elegance, endless ocean views and Indonesian haute cuisine.
The Alila perches on limestone cliffs 100 metres above the Indian Ocean, so every room has incredible views. We think the panorama from Villa 409 is something really special. It’s the highest point on the resort, and perfect for a couple looking for total privacy.
Even in you don’t stay at the top of the world in 409, you’ll still enjoy awe-inspiring sunsets from your personal deck, a private pool and 24-hour butler service. The Alila is designed with glamorous minimalism in mind, but has an eco-friendly conscience too. Everything is built from local sustainable materials, balancing stone, wood, rattan and water.
The open plan layout means you’ll always have a fresh sea breeze circulating naturally, to take the edge off the midday sun. And if the heat is still too much, you can slip into a 50 metre infinity pool which runs along the cliff edge, and feel like you’re floating above the world.
At dinner time, take your pick from three restaurants on site. We always enjoy the roasted king prawns, wasabi spiked crab and grilled octopus.
And if you feel like getting away from the resort, the Alila is just fifteen minutes from Jimbaran bay and the Uluwatu temple, and there are regular tours to other famous Bali beaches.
