The Villa Experience
Almyra Residence is part of the SK Place Luxury Villas estate and it combines contemporary design, panoramic sea and mountain views and an excellent location just a five-minute walk from Almyrida Beach and village centre.
Sleeping up to six guests across three bedrooms, the villa has a private swimming pool, generous outdoor living areas and its own spa facilities with a sauna, steam shower and small gym.
The main living space is on the ground floor, where full-height sliding glass doors frame the views and open directly onto the pool terrace. Inside, there is comfortable seating around an open fireplace, a dining area and a fully equipped open-plan kitchen.
Outside, landscaped gardens and shaded pergolas surround the pool, with sun loungers, comfortable seating, an alfresco dining area and a charcoal barbecue.
Two bedrooms are located on the first floor. The master suite has a Dux king-size bed and an en-suite stone-style bathroom with a Jacuzzi and separate shower, while the second en-suite bedroom has Dux twin beds that can be converted into a king.
Both open onto the balcony through sliding glass doors. The third bedroom is on the lower ground floor and can be arranged with either a king-size bed or twins. It sits alongside the shared spa bathroom with a steam shower, sauna and small gym, and opens onto a private courtyard garden with access to the pool terrace.
Location Overview
Almyra Residence is well placed for enjoying Almyrida without relying on a car. The village centre is around a five-minute walk away, with grocery stores, bakeries, restaurants and tavernas, while Almyrida Beach and the marina are also approximately five minutes away on foot. The traditional village of Plaka is around four minutes by car, Kokkino Chorio is approximately nine minutes away and the secluded Koutalas Beach can be reached in around 11 minutes. Kalives, with its larger selection of amenities and long sandy beach, is approximately a 14-minute drive.
For exploring further afield, Chania and its Venetian harbour, shops and restaurants are around 40 minutes away. Lake Kournas, Crete’s only freshwater lake, is also approximately a 40-minute drive and offers swimming, kayaking and paddleboats. Rethymno can be reached in around an hour, while Heraklion and its attractions, including Knossos Palace and the archaeological museum, are approximately two hours away. Chania International Airport is around a 45-minute drive from the villa, while Heraklion International Airport is approximately 1 hour 55 minutes away.
