From Athens to the Cyclades

Mainland Greece, Mykonos, Santorini

With so many Greek islands to choose from, why settle for just one? The sun-kissed Cyclades Islands are many people’s vision of how the Greek Islands should look – all whitewashed towns and traditional harbours. Pay homage to ancient Greece in Athens, then head to the most picturesque pair of islands imaginable.

Ancient Athens

Start your Greek odyssey with a three-night stay in Athens. Known as the cradle of western civilisation, Athens is the place where democracy was invented and philosophy, art and architecture were refined. We’ll provide you with a private guide who’ll bring the ancient Acropolis to life, with visits to the majestic Parthenon and impressive Acropolis Museum. The it’s time for a tasting tour of Greek culinary tradition at the central food market, where you’ll sample sweet and savoury delicacies before retreating to your luxury hotel.

Island Elegance

From Athens, we’ll fly you to chic, whitewashed Mykonos for six nights. An island with a bustling and elegant feel as well as some lively nightspots, Mykonos is also home to excellent sandy beaches on which you’ll likely spend much of your time. But there’s plenty to explore too. Wander the labyrinthine streets of Mykonos Town, cruise the coast by luxury catamaran, or visit the famous windmills before enjoying sunset cocktails at Little Venice. Go horse-riding down a lake trail to quiet Fokos beach in search of wonderfully secluded swimming spots, or head out to sea to catch your dinner with a local fisherman. We’ll also arrange dinner reservations at our favourite waterfront dining spots, where you’ll feast on sumptuous seafood.

Santorini Seduction

Set sail for Santorini, the most romantic of all the Cyclades, for a five-night finale. The sweeping views of the caldera, formed by an ancient volcanic eruption, are truly a marvel. Whitewashed villages and sheer cliffs dominate the landscape, with secluded black sand beaches spilling into the sea. Bathe in volcanic hot springs, visit local wineries or just kick back and relax enjoying long lunches by the harbour side. We recommend a visit to Oia’s legendary ruined castle for astonishing sunset views, followed by dinner at the award-winning Lycabettus. Set on a rocky outcrop surrounded by the sea, you’ll feast on fresh king crab salad or seabass with truffle while the waters lap below.
