An island with a bustling and elegant feel as well as some lively nightspots, Mykonos is also home to excellent sandy beaches on which you’ll likely spend much of your time. But there’s plenty to explore too. Wander the labyrinthine streets of Mykonos Town, cruise the coast by luxury catamaran, or visit the famous windmills before enjoying sunset cocktails at Little Venice. Go horse-riding down a lake trail to quiet Fokos beach in search of wonderfully secluded swimming spots, or head out to sea to catch your dinner with a local fisherman. Bathe in volcanic hot springs, visit local wineries or just kick back and relax enjoying long lunches by the harbour side. We recommend a visit to Oia’s legendary ruined castle for astonishing sunset views, followed by dinner at the award-winning Lycabettus.
