Costa Rican Adventure

Costa Rica

With its biodiversity matching that of the entire USA, tiny Costa Rica certainly packs a punch. Explore verdant coffee plantations and smoking volcanoes in the Central Valley, disconnect from the world in a rainforest eco-lodge, and get active with hiking and rafting adventures while staying in a tropical cloudforest. Exotic wildlife, exhilarating adventure and white-sand beaches await.

Volcanoes & Coffee

On arrival in San Jose, you’ll be met and transferred to your nearby hotel in the Central Valley. Finca Rosa Blanca sits on a picturesque coffee plantation and is the perfect base to begin exploring the feast of natural wonders that is Costa Rica. Visit Poas and Barba Volcanoes, enjoy a bird watching trail or chocolate tour, go horse riding or visit an extensive butterfly farm.

Down The Pacuare River

Next, you’ll journey by road and river raft deep into dense rainforest, entering a protected zone of incomparable beauty that covers approximately 25,000 acres as it descends down the Talamanca Mountain Range. Float down the river’s class III rapids until you arrive at Pacuare Lodge, your next base. Enjoy rainforest hikes, thrilling Canopy Adventure Tours, or unwind with treatments in the excellent Jawa Juu Spa. You’ll also have the unique opportunity to visit the rainforest-dwelling Cabecar Indian community, Costa Rica’s largest indigenous tribe.

Into The Clouds

The Central Valley’s tropical cloudforest is your next stop, as you transfer again by raft and road to the tranquil surroundings of El Silencio lodge. Surrounded by gently flowing creeks and hidden waterfalls, this eco-lodge is the perfect place to reconnect with the natural world. Here, you can choose between a wide range of activities, from nature trails and river rafting to mountain biking and canopy zip-lining. We’ll also arrange a day trip for you to visit ominous Arenal Volcano, before enjoying a soak in one of the surrounding hot springs.

Pacific Coast Bliss

After a short drive back to San Jose, we’ll fly you down south for a stay on the Pacific at Playa Cativo Eco Lodge. Accessible only by boat, this beachfront lodge is set within 1,000 acres of private rainforest, surrounded by the Piedras Blancas National Park. Keep your eyes peeled for monkeys, sloths, abundant birdlife, and even the elusive jaguar on guided excursions into the park. Then take to the waters for snorkelling, kayaking, and paddle boarding adventures. Totally unspoiled and off the beaten track, it’s the most relaxing finale imaginable.
