WHO FOR
Ideally a large family or group of friends who want the personal touch of travelling together in exclusive-use properties, giving flexibility, space and freedom ensuring you make the most out of your holiday.
Victoria Falls
Famed for its distinctive roar and the clouds of mist sent high up over the ravines – the Victoria Falls is the meeting point of five southern African countries. By staying a little upstream within easy visiting distance, a whole safari world opens up for you. Zambezi National Park has huge herds of elephant which migrate through, prides of lion and all the zebra and giraffe you can hope to see. Then there are masses of activities on offer – from walking safaris to village visits, time spent on the river itself and exploring this beautiful region.
STAY: Mpala Jena & Villas
This three-bedroom villa comes with your own team on hand and is the perfect blend of luxurious surroundings in the wild, offering the ideal base from which to explore the Falls, head out on safari and get seriously well looked after. Choose from a family villa with interconnecting suites or a private villa with three bedrooms in each – the accommodation can be configured to best suit the size and ages of your group. With its upstream location, you are away from the madding crowd and the noise of the Falls and very much in a private safari bubble.
Cape Town
The Mother City, Cape Town is a buzzy cosmopolitan city with the awe-inspiring backdrop of Table Mountain and the Cape Peninsula. Famed for some of the best restaurants and culinary offerings in the world, its flanked either side by Winelands and glorious beaches offering a heady mix of scenic beauty and chances to indulge. This is an active city making use of this natural playground – we can arrange a plethora of activities from surfing and sea kayaking to paragliding, hiking and biking, or even rugby games and summer concerts – the city has a rare energy.
Stay: Beyond Villa
The ultimate in Cape Town cool, this modern and contemporary villa is perched mountainside with panoramic sea views. A team is on-hand for all your concierge needs and while it will be difficult to leave your private home – it is in the perfect location to explore the mother city and Table Mountain. The villa can sleep 12 with six ensuite bedrooms – all with great ocean views making room choice easy.
The Winelands
At the heart of the productive Winelands is the natural amphitheatre of the Franschhoek Valley. The sides of the mountains are covered in the vines and at the bottom of the valley, the village of Franschhoek has retained an old-world charm combined with artistic ambience. The high street is lined with art galleries, artisan food producers and of course some excellent bars and restaurants to sample the local produce. Let us plan your time here including expert-led wine tours, farm-to-table lunches, bike rides, chocolate tastings and dinosaur fossil hunting.
STAY: Franschhoek House
In the estate grounds of the prestigious La Residence, this private retreat, embraced by the mountains and vineyards, provides an elegant sanctuary ideal for families or a group of friends. This is the ideal base to go wine-tasting in the vineyards, exploring the renowned wine producers of the Cape. We can include dedicated sommelier guides and book you into the finest restaurants. Then head back to your house to relax by the pool.
