Nana Princess, Greece, Crete

Hitting the sweet spot between crafted luxe and authentic experiences, Nana Princess is a classic yet serenely stylish beach property. If you can’t wait to flop at a hotel that gets it all right, then Nana Princess will do the job. Drift from the beach club where snacks and drinks come at the touch of a button to afternoons at the stunning pool, before lapping up a massage at the sleek spa. Pre-dinner cocktails can be taken at the pool bar and seafood dinners are served at the toes-in-the-sand beach restaurant.

"We highly recommend the Junior Suites. With ocean views, private pools and modern-luxe bathrooms, the suites are roomy and very comfortable."

Insider Tip

For a taste of Crete, visit the nearby hilltop village of Koutouloufari where the narrow streets, traditional tavernas and artisan shops will feel a world away from home.

Villa Dubrovnik, Croatia

There are plenty of memorable views during a stay at Villa Dubrovnik. The first ascent in the panoramic glass lift as you arrive, looking out over the Adriatic Ocean. The sight of the turquoise sea as you sip your first glass under the canopied pagoda at the rooftop Prosciutto & Wine bar. The towers of the Old City laid out below you, alongside pine trees and Lokrum Island in the distance, as seen from the Loft Suite. This place leaves an impression.

Each of the 56 rooms and suites are elegantly decorated; think light, airy wood, stone textures, cream loungers and latté fixtures. If you can tear yourself away from the view long enough, take a walk down to the secluded rock shelf beach below, to lounge on bathing platforms above the clear water.

When it comes to dining, choose from five in-house bars and restaurants, which often have guest chefs like the two-Michelin starred Andrea Migliaccio.

"Enjoy panoramic views and fine dining in one of Europe’s great old cities while staying at Villa Dubrovnik."

Insider Tip

We recommend catching a concert or play during Dubrovnik’s Summer Festival. No matter when you visit, you should definitely take the complimentary Vaporetto speedboat service out for an evening of local dining.

Aegean Bliss

Six Senses Kaplankaya, Turkey

A sprawling resort set over five kilometres, Six Senses Kaplankaya makes the most of its natural environment: sparkling Aegean Sea, gnarled olive groves, pointy cypress trees and hot pink oleander. For those seeking beachy bliss in seclusion with the bonus of excellent service and sensational spa facilities, then you’ve found your match at Six Senses Kaplankaya.

Rooms and suites are thoughtfully designed to complement the landscape using all-natural materials in a minimalist style. Inside, you’ll find floor-to-ceiling windows which open out to your own private balcony with stunning views of the Aegean Sea. Some suites feature private pools, while for utmost privacy or family groups we’d recommend one of the stand-alone Ridge Villas.

"With three beaches to choose from, plus a separate pool for adults and children and a fun-filled kids' club, this is a great choice for families with space for everyone to spread out."

Make time to enjoy the spa which has an emphasis on revitalisation through water. Work your way through the pools and chambers including a grotto, igloo, Watsu water therapy room, experimental rains and treatment rooms for deep tissue massages and personalised facials. Finish up at the rooftop infinity pool to appreciate the stunning Mediterranean panorama.
