Client Journey:

THE CELEBRATION VILLA

OUR CLIENT WANTED A FABULOUS GET TOGETHER TO MARK A SPECIAL BIRTHDAY. OUR TRAVEL DESIGNER SARAH WOODTHORPE MADE IT RUN LIKE CLOCKWORK.

Souk in Marrakech, Morocco

IT’S MY BIRTHDAY!

“Where can I go with extended family for my 50th birthday celebrations? I’d love a luxurious villa where we can all relax.”

Creating the journey

Drawing on her expert knowledge of creating complex multi-generational holidays, Sarah knew Morocco to be an ideal destination for an exotic getaway, easily located by guests flying in from different locations. The villa lent itself perfectly to a big multi-age group with plenty of room to spread out. Sarah’s suggestion for a ‘party night’ meant that the birthday host was made to feel special on a luxurious week away that included:

  • A spacious villa – ensuite bedrooms, a large pool, tennis court and gardens
  • Exotic location – perfect for a special occasion yet easily accessible for everyone
  • Wraparound care – airport transfers, nannies, housekeeper and private drivers
  • A wow-factor party night – private chef flown in, an al fresco dinner in a lantern-lit garden with firework finale
  • Cultural experience – e-bikes in the Atlas Mountains, visit to Menara gardens, a relaxing hammam spa and medina tours

MEMORABLE MOROCCAN MOMENTS

An extended family gathered from three continents to celebrate a special birthday at a luxurious villa that offered space for everyone, communal areas like the stylish pool, lush garden and comfortable outdoor seating.

The next few days entailed poolside relaxation, medina explorations and tagine tasting. Breaking into groups, some succumbed to a Moroccan hammam, other soaked up culture in Marrakesh’s gardens and museums and a few sought highs on the snow-dusted Atlas Mountains.

The finale was an al fresco meal with a menu specially created by a favoured chef, flown over from Italy. Lanterns flickered in the garden and the guest enjoyed a handmade, gluten-free cake before a live Moroccan performance let the party continue into the night.

A holiday that brought everyone together created a raft of new memories.

“Although I hadn’t considered Morocco, it proved to be a really memorable place for a celebration. And with no long-haul journeys it was perfect for the younger members of my family. The villa was sensational with tons of space – full marks Bailey Robinson”

“I know how hard it can be to keep everyone happy on a villa holiday and sometimes the stress of it all takes the fun away. It was a pleasure to organise this 50th birthday week away and was happy to hear the host loved what I’d arranged for her party.”
