Slick Sophistication

CHEVAL BLANC
Located in the north-west coast of the island on the blindingly white swish of sand on Flamand’s Beach, Cheval Blanc is one of the largest hotels on St Barths. It was originally founded by the island’s British vicar, Charlie Vere Nicoll, and his wife Mandy before passing on the mantle of ownership to upmarket LVMH’s Cheval Blanc hotel group. Today, you’ll find an extremely high level of service from French-speaking ‘ambassadeurs’ who strive their hardest to make your stay over-and-above perfect. Lavish suites and villas are dotted around the lush landscape – choose beachside for ocean views and easy access to baby soft sand or head into the hills for a privacy, greenery-enclosed retreat.
“Cheval Blanc is a top choice for those that like excellent service in smart, upscale surroundings, set on one of the Caribbean’s most exclusive islands.”
Must do
The ocean awaits for adventures – take out a canoe, paddleboard or hire a yacht for the day. Snorkel the warm seas or fish for your supper.
Hillside Hideaway

HOTEL LE TOINY
Perfect for those that prefer their luxury to be understated but always in excellent taste, Le Toiny St Barths is hidden amongst leafy palms on a verdant hillside on the southeast of the island. With a pervading sense of old-school glamour, the hotel’s spacious suites are peaceful retreats with large French windows that can be drawn back to reveal a terrace, plunge pool and uninterrupted views over the Caribbean Sea. With a terrace that descends down to the sea, Villa Nureyev once owned by the famous dancer is quite the location overlooking the Caribbean Sea and just minutes from the beach. Spend your days at the beach club, a short walk or Land Rover lift away, where sun loungers and a bar await. Although the island is brimming with upmarket restaurants, Le Toiny’s offering is quite the place to be, especially as it has the largest wine cellar on the island!
“Dip in and out of St Barths social whirl – then come back to your luxe retreat at Le Toiny for relaxation, panoramic ocean views and great service.”
Must do
Head to the spa or the tempting boutique or get active – try paddle boarding or even surfing on the hotel’s own beach break.
Shoreside Style

LE SERENO
Tucked away on St. Barth’s Grand Cul de Sac beach, Le Sereno offers a magnificent 600 feet of private waterfront, sandy beach and iridescent waters – just steps away. With an unpretentious yet luxe ambience, this is the perfect spot for beachside bliss in the stylish surrounds of St Barths. With a contemporary design and modern aesthetic, Le Sereno makes the most of its shoreside location with the spa, pool, sundeck and restaurant are overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Choose a villa suite or bungalow that opens out onto the beach to complete your holiday by the sea or retreat to the hills. The two-bedroom villa is ideal for a family and has a 10-metre pool.
“Ideal for beach lovers, Le Sereno is a laid-back, relaxed way to enjoy the exclusive, jet-set island of St Barths.”
Must do
If you’re a fan of water sports, then make a beeline for Grand Cul de Sac lagoon, one of the world’s premier destinations for kite surfing.
Tropical Seclusion

Rosewood Le Guanahani
Set on its own peninsula, Rosewood Le Guanahani has one of the most dramatic and coveted locations in St Barths whilst offering a warm and colourfully Caribbean hotel – welcoming couples and families alike. Set a little apart from the rest of the island gives this hotel a distinct feeling of seclusion, yet you’re only 20 minutes away from the buzz of St Barths. Spread out over 18 acres, Rosewood Le Guanahani has a dual sweep of beach that curves up to meet the peninsula offering plenty of tropical beach space and there’s also two swimming pools for those that prefer to stay poolside. The lavish spa is what you’d expect from Rosewood – with an array of targeted treatments and a soothing spa area to relax in afterwards, giving your wellness a boost.
“Perfect for fans of do-it-all resorts, secluded Rosewood Le Guanahani has everything you need for a tropical holiday in a Caribbean paradise.”
Must do
Hike the breathtakingly beautiful nature paths around the resort, taking in the Caribbean colours of the turquoise sea, leafy palms, colourful flowers and a deep indigo sky.
