Things to do
Whether you’d like to wander Cape Town under your own steam or allow us arrange a curated experience, you’ll find the city easy to explore with interesting art galleries, crafts shopping and notably excellent restaurants to enjoy. Climbing Table Mountain is a must; we’d recommend a guide to bring the myths swirling the mountain to life, plus point out the peaks of the panorama such as the Twelve Apostles and your luxury apartment’s namesake: Devil’s Peak. Cape Town’s beaches are a short drive or cycle away – spot wildlife such as penguins and Cape Fur seals.
Back at the penthouse, soothe away any travel fatigue in the sauna and gym, find a quiet corner in one of the three lounges with a book from the library or swim and sunbathe surrounded by the finest views in Cape Town.
Sleeping
Sleeping arrangements are generous – the penthouse can sleep eight adults in four spacious double bedrooms, plus there is room for four children too. It’s the perfect size for a family or group and each bedroom has exceptional views and marble-clad bathrooms, and two of the bedrooms have private outdoor terraces. The Master Suite is a cut above, with a walk-in wardrobe, fireplace and Jacuzzi bathtub angled to make the most of the views.
Food & Drink
With a 24-hour butler and room service you can be as flexible as you like with your dining requirements. If you’re in the mood to cook in your state-of-the-art kitchen, take advantage of One&Only’s curated in-room recipes, which come delivered with all the ingredients. Or else make use of the hotel’s range of restaurants either to dine in or be served in your penthouse from Nobu sushi platters, bespoke menus or simply oysters and champagne. You also have Cape Town’s gastronomic scene to explore. There’s quite an array of sophisticated dining choices – let us know your preference and we’ll make the reservations.
What Stands Out
Staying in One&Only’s Devil’s Peak Penthouse means you have an extraordinarily luxe and private space to call home. Every detail has been finished to sumptuous standards with extras such as fresh flowers, a piano (pianist on request), wine cellar stocked by a sommelier based on your taste and private access via elevator making it feel particularly secluded and special.
Best For
We think this large and ultra-luxe apartment would make a fantastic space for a three-generational family, perhaps at the start of a trip to South Africa before embarking on a safari or exploring the glorious Garden Route coastline. It would also be highly suitable for a group of friends – the three lounges and two outside terraces allow plenty of space for entertaining.
