WHERE TO STAY
Your base for the week is ULUM MOAB, a luxury resort in Utah. A secluded desert camp constructed in the utmost style and comfort, ULUM will allow you to connect with the soul-stirring landscapes around you without compromising on luxury.
WHO FOR
This trip suits intrepid families with older children, and fit and active couples on the hunt for the next adventure.
GOOD TO KNOW
This uniquely curated adventure will fill a week but can be easily combined with other sights on an independent road trip that includes both Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks. You could also head southwest to Lake Powell for a few days on a houseboat, cruising the calm waters around sculpted rock formations.
ULUM MOAB
Merging seamlessly into the topography, ULUM is your luxurious camp for the week, made up of spacious, safari-style tents that come with a double bed swathed in linen, a private deck, rain shower and wood burning stove. The communal viewing lounge is a modernist build, crafted from wood, stone and glass and its deck is the perfect spot for stargazing – Moab became an official dark sky community in 2024.
DAY 1
THE SECLUSION OF CANYON COUNTRY
Meet your chauffeur-guide and be escorted to ULUM, a luxe desert camp, hidden in a secluded corner of canyon country. On your way, enjoy your first experience of the famed red rocks of Arches National Park as you stop to pose in the iconic sandstone Delicate Arch, hike Windows Loop Trail and wander around the rust-red geological formation of Devil’s Garden.
Finish the day with a splash in one of ULUM’s three dipping pools and toast s’mores around the campfire
DAY 2
BREATHTAKING VIEWS AND SECRET CAVES
Wake up to breathtaking views that stretch into the distance as the sun paints the landscapes rust red. Fuel up at breakfast before a 4×4 Jeep takes you for an off-road exploration of Canyonlands National Park including visiting Thelma and Louise Point and driving the heart-pumping Shafer Trail. Hike through secret caves and caverns and enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch overlooking the canyons.
Come afternoon, try your hand at canyoneering: climb and rappel down narrow slot canyons with a guide, and cool off in crystal-clear waterfall pools. Back at ULUM, calm your senses with a crystal sound bath meditation, before a wholesome dinner of sophisticated southwestern fare with a crafted cocktail.
DAY 3-4
ADVENTURE IN THE MOAB WILDERNESS
Pack an overnight bag and get ready for an adventure in Moab’s wilderness. With an expert rafting guide, paddle Cataract Canyon on the Colorado River, drifting alongside dramatic red cliffs rising up on each side. Enjoy a luxury picnic before a thrilling afternoon on the whitewater rapids. Let your team set up a minimal impact camp before dinner around the fire and a deep sleep in the wilderness.
Wake early for coffee, then take on legendary rapids like Big Drops, Mile Long, and Hell-to-Pay. End the day with a relaxing flight and spectacular bird’s eye view over Canyonlands National Park, heading home to ULUM for a sunset yoga session.
DAY 5
LUNAR LANDSCAPES AND SANDSTONE TOWERS
Your last full day sees thrills to the very end. Strap into a custom-built off-road quad bike to ride the undulating sandy tracks that wind around the remote, lunar-like landscapes of Moab. Scale sandstone towers, wind into deep caverns and whirl round rocky ledges at a pace that suits your ability.
Back at ULUM, enjoy a medicinal plant walk with a certified herbalist to learn the therapeutic benefits of the ancient herbs that grow here. Enjoy your last night with a final celestial stargaze before readying to leave in the morning, armed with plentiful memories tinged by the evocative red rocks of Utah.
