Cheetah Plains

Exclusive safari luxury in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve

The world renowned Sabi Sands offers extraordinary wildlife viewing. Cheetah Plains showcases this in unparalleled artistic style.

South Africa

Cheetah Plains is a sophisticated lodge of exclusive use villas, a combination of exquisite attention to detail, bespoke art installations and highly rated safari guiding.

“Every element of your stay has been thoughtfully planned, from your exclusive wine gallery, chef’s kitchen to private boma for fireside dining.”

A Silent Safari

“Sabi Sands is the destination to see not just the Big 5, but an abundance of wildlife”

Cheetah Plains uses next-generation silent Land Cruisers allowing undisturbed game viewing. A progressive approach to better wildlife viewing on safari, the stealthily smooth vehicles maximise your appreciation of the bushveld and mark a huge leap in advancement from diesel engines. Walking safaris continue the silent theme, allowing your senses an unfettered clarity.

The Sabi Sands is ferociously productive. Famously home to a huge number of leopard, the big cats thrive in this game-rich reserve. The dry sand rivers which weave across this landscape act as wildlife highways and create ambush points for the unwitting.

TIME OUT

With most safari activities bookending the day, you might find time to visit the local village and school. Families can use the Cubs Club where the children head out on “Bush Bumbles” while you rejuvenate in the Africology Spa.

STYLISHLY TACTILE

Each private villa sleeps eight on an exclusive basis. The lodge showcases curated artwork and installations from a number of famous and up-and-coming African artists, making each villa resonate individually.

Statement pieces of rock as if hewn from the landscape frame the softer touches of artisan woven fabrics and colourful throws. Natural hues of wood, stone and copper reflect the elements outside. The result is dramatic and unashamedly luxurious on an unparalleled scale.

Space to Reconnect

"Space is the real luxury with different areas to relax in and around each villa before coming together for delicious meals prepared by your chef"

The communal areas of each villa host a wine gallery, bar, tasting room and entertainment lounge. When not on safari you can relax around your private pool and enjoy fireside dining in the evenings in your boma.
