The street food of Hanoi’s narrow alleys and tree lined boulevards is as much a part of the city’s identity as its old-world architecture and lakes. Partake in an unforgettable culinary journey offering a range of choice, from noodle dishes to crispy pancakes and succulent spring rolls.
Meet your guide and kick off your food odyssey with a steaming bowl of Pho, Vietnam’s national dish. Then continue to the traditional Thanh Ha market to browse the aisles of fresh produce and exotic ingredients. This busy, eclectic market is alive with the sights and sounds of Hanoi and is the essence of Vietnamese culture.
You’ll then hit the backstreets in search of more tasty treats. Taste pan-fried Banh Goi and sample fantastic Bun Cha – a dish of grilled pork and noodles thought to have originated in Hanoi. Our favourite snack is definitely Bang tom – a shrimp-fried pancake made with tapioca flour and sweet potatoes.
By the end of the tour you’ll be ready to walk off some of the food with a stroll through the bustling Old Quarter.
