Book with Bailey Robinson in confidence that your holiday is secure from the impact of volcanic ash or adverse weather conditions.

If you book a package holiday that includes international flights and accommodation with Bailey Robinson and cannot travel out due to volcanic eruptions or adverse weather conditions, you will receive a full refund. If you are delayed returning, we will provide accommodation and meals as originally booked, at no expense to you.

Following the chaos caused by the closure of UK and European airspace on account of the ash cloud from the Icelandic volcano, and the airport closures over the winter months due to snow and ice there is much confusion within the travel industry as to how airlines, tour operators and insurance companies should act.

In view of this we want to provide a clear and transparent policy to clarify our position and reassure all existing and potential customers of our commitments should the situations re-occur. We want to offer our customers peace of mind that you will not be stranded and left to fend for yourself, nor incur additional costs.

If your international outbound flight is cancelled or postponed for more than 24 hours:

You can postpone until later for the same holiday for the same price, time limits may apply for the holiday to be taken. Should you choose to vary the original holiday, for example, amending the number of nights, the room type or be travelling in a cheaper/more expensive season the price will be recalculated.
If the disruption is short lived, we will do our best to re-schedule to the nearest departure date/time subject to availability at the existing price.
Choose an alternative holiday of the equivalent value to a different destination at the same time.
Receive a full refund of all money paid.

If your scheduled return flight is cancelled or postponed and you have to remain in your destination, the airline may make arrangements for you, but if they do not we will provide you with accommodation of our choosing on the same board basis as originally booked until such time that we or the airline can make alternative travel arrangements. This may include returning you to an alternative UK airport via an alternative route.

The costs for the alternative accommodation and appropriate meals will be borne by us and at no additional expense to you unless you choose to make your own arrangements or upgrade any arrangements we make. Any additional costs such as extra meals, excursions, spa treatments, laundry, car hire etc should be paid for direct.

This policy comes into effect in the event of further volcanic disruption or adverse weather conditions where an airline does not provide the necessary care and assistance.

Some travel insurance policies may offer cover in the event of further ash eruptions and we reserve the right to request you refer any claims to your insurance provider in the first instance.

We are unable to extend this guarantee to any other independent travel arrangements not made with Bailey Robinson such as your own flights, travel to/from the airport or any other similar arrangements.
