Located near the centre of Africa and bordered by Uganda, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Tanzania, Rwanda has a fertile and hilly terrain that makes it an explorers dream. Also known as the home of American ethologist Dian Fossey, who studied gorillas in Rwanda's mountain forests, it is one of the very few remaining places on earth where you can track the endangered mountain gorilla.
