Jade Mountain offers grand sweeping spaces and immense privacy. In his creation of Jade Mountain, architect and owner, Nick Troubetzkoy, has developed his philosophy of designing buildings to be in harmony with nature and the environment.
In each of the extraordinary infinity pool sanctuaries, the bedroom, living space and extravagant private pool all merge into one another to form an amazing platform seemingly suspended in space. The fourth wall of each suite is missing entirely, resulting in a dramatic stage like setting from which to enjoy glorious vistas of the Pitons, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The suites, all of which enjoy spectacular views, fall into five categories called Sky, Galaxy, Sun, Moon and Star, based on size and location.
These architecturally brilliant rooms benefit aesthetically from high ceilings and fluid lines. Not only are they immensely attractive but they offer king-size beds, refrigerators and coffee makers. They are deliberately technology free; there is no phone, TV or radio to distract guests from the perfection of their surroundings. Each bathroom boasts cool, coral floors, shimmering glass tiled shower rooms and a sophisticated tub for two that overlooks the pool and vista beyond. The private infinity pools are illuminated at night with fibre-optic lights, the colour of which guests can personally control.
A dedicated team of charming staff plus the resorts’ major-domos offer room service around the clock while the Jade Mountain Club offers a panoramic environment in which to enjoy ‘Jade Cuisine’ created by the award-winning chef.
The Trou au Diable Restaurant offers an innovative Indian menu, while the Petit Piton and Treehouse restaurants serve award-winning cuisine which blends Caribbean, French, Mediterranean, Asian and New World fare, much of which is derived from local produce.
Away from the table, exceptional diving, snorkelling, windsurfing, kayaking, fishing trips, sailing and spectacular scenery offer many sightseeing attractions. The most dramatic of which are the Sulphur Springs, the Louis XVI mineral baths and the famous twin Pitons. Tennis, yoga, bird-watching, botanical tours, mountain biking, the exquisite Jade Mountain Spa and sunbathing on one of two sheltered beaches are also there for the taking.
Stunning architecture and setting with as little or as much as you want to do, make Jade Mountain a unique St Lucian retreat.
