Grenada is sometimes known as the ‘Spice Island’ because cinnamon, cloves, ginger, mace and nutmeg, are all important exports. As such it’s a fantastic, if unlikely, venue for a celebrity chef – Gary Rhodes is ‘in residence’ at one of our Grenada properties, Calabash.
If you are not a ‘foodie’, Grenada’s French and English colonial capital - St George’s - is widely regarded as being one of the prettiest places in the Caribbean, with its steep streets, pastel coloured 19th-century Creole houses and quaint, horseshoe-shaped harbour.
