Canada The Rockies

Canada’s first national park, Banff encompasses hundreds of glaciers, amazingly coloured lakes, alpine meadows and rugged mountain passes. The park is also the home to world renowned Lake Louise. Jasper National Park is home to the only sand dune ecosystem in the Rockies as well as the thunderous Maligne Canyon and Athabasca Falls and Glacier. Jasper’s wildlife established pathways long before humans and this network of trails has been expanded and maintained to offer some of the most superb hiking. The Icefields Parkway that links Banff and Jasper National Parks was built to commemorate Canada’s natural landscape and is one of the ‘must drive’ roads in the world.
