Each day you are taken out onto the frozen tundra in specially built tundra buggies. From the warmth and comfort of the vehicles the kingdom of the ice bear can be surveyed, mothers and cubs as well as young adults play-fighting can be viewed. During the early winter months the Northern Lights are often clearly visible. white streaks across the sky change to many flickering colours creating one of nature’s most astounding shows. To see these majestic bears in their natural habitat and to learn about the ways of the north is truly awe inspiring and a real privilege.

Sample itinerary
DAY 1 – 2 Fly to Churchill
Fly to Winnipeg, receive an orientation dinner & start to learn about the bears & their behaviour. The following day fly to Churchill which will be the base while in the north
DAY 3 – 5 Bear Watching on the Tundra
Explore the tundra on polar buggies, a fantastic chance to watch these magnificent animals from the warmth & comfort of these fully equipped vehicles. Look out for mothers & cubs as well as young adult males play-fighting. Each evening there is a presentation on the wildlife & local culture & one evening will be spent on the tundra watching the night’s activities
DAY 6 – 7 Return Journey
The flights are scheduled to depart in the afternoon giving as much time as possible in Churchill to explore & enjoy this remote & intriguing town or even to take a helicopter ride over the tundra. After breakfast at the hotel in Winnipeg transfer back to the airport for the flight home
