Cambodia Angkor

Now a World Heritage Site, the fabled Temples of Angkor offer a glimpse into a bygone age finally abandoned to pilgrims, holy men and the jungle in the 16th Century. Breathtaking Angkor Wat, believed to be the largest religious building in the world, is famous for its 3000 carvings of alluring nymphs. Ta Phrom, an atmospheric ruin swallowed up by the jungle, and Banteay Srei, with its three dimensional carvings, add to the many mysteries which make up this beguiling landscape. The temple mountain of Bayon with its 216 surreal faces staring eerily out into the forests,The Baphoun a representation of mythical Mt Meru and the Terraces used for royal audiences bring together the extravagant beauty of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
