Australia Perth, Surrounds & The Kimberley

To the south, Margaret River offers excellent surfing, superb vineyards and restaurants, majestic forests and a stunning coastline. Further north, chic tropical Broome is a gateway to the outback and the Kimberley. Often described as Australia’s last frontier, it is remote, barren and truly magnificent. An outback wilderness buffeted by extremes of tropical weather, it is inhabited only by a few barely viable cattle stations and a scattering of Aboriginal communities. Nonetheless, the grandeur and isolation of the region is a potent draw with its great rivers that rise in thundering torrents in the wet season, pockets of rainforest and endless arid desert.
