    An archipelago comprising of just over 7,100 islands, the Philippines enjoys a wealth of distinctive culture, rich history and stunning natural resources. It has a staggering 36,289 kilometres of coastline, making it the fifth longest coastline in the world. The highest mountain is Mount Apo on the island of Mindanao and most of the mountainous islands are covered in tropical rainforest and volcanic in origin.

    As the island of Borneo is located a few hundred kilometres southwest and Taiwan is located directly to the north it makes an excellent point to start a luxury holiday of the Far East.
