One of the few private camps located within Hwange, Little Makalolo's game viewing starts right on the doorstep. Built among teak trees overlooking a much frequented waterhole, this exclusive camp sleeps eight guests in five luxury tents or ten in a private group. Each tent has en-suite bathroom facilities although the romantic can shower outside under the stars of the African night. The main sitting and dining area is reminiscent of yesteryear while the plunge pool is a luxury most welcome after the heat of the day.
Day and night game drives and walking safaris are richly rewarding, locating a wide variety of wildlife that includes birds ranging from Mombo to Kalahari species. This part of Hwange is well known for its predators; leopard, wild dog and cheetah are regularly sighted. Numerous waterholes attract game in great concentrations, including the one in front of the camp which can be viewed at close quarters from a hide in a nearby tree.
