Located in the northernmost part of Zambia among the rolling granite hills that form the tail end of the Great Rift Valley, Shiwa Ng'andu estate is without a doubt one of the most fascinating and unique properties in Zambia. It is rich in history, built by Sir Stewart Gore Browne in 1921 as an African Utopia; its fascinating story was brought to life through the book ‘The Africa House’ by Christina Lamb. The main house on this beautiful estate has been extensively renovated and now comfortably sleeps 10 to 12 people and offers a range of activities, including boating on the lake, horse riding, game drives, birdwatching and walking. The relaxed atmosphere and the truly warm Zambian hospitality ensure that every guest feels truly at home and very much a part of the estate's incredible history and culture. Shiwa Ng’andu is the perfect finale to any Zambian safari and is particularly good for small groups or large families who can take the house exclusively.
