Set in the remote and romantic Kidepo Valley National Park, Uganda's newest safari lodge, Apoka, has it all, luxurious décor, inspiring views from every vantage point and vast plains teaming with a greater diversity of wildlife than any other park in Uganda. This is also the only park in Uganda where visitors can view both the Zebra and Giraffe.
Trained guides will help you discover a wide range of game from elephants, huge herds of buffalo, warthog, duiker, hartebeest, lion, leopard and cheetah through to hundreds of bird species including an amazing range of birds of prey. Dive off a huge boulder into Uganda's only rock pool and watch the animals at their watering hole at the same time. Alternatively, just sit in your veranda or outside bathtub soaking up the atmosphere of this beautiful isolated wilderness.
Its ten en-suite rooms sleeping a maximum of twenty people are built into a large rocky kopje and the décor, which takes its cue from rock, savannah and the natural landscape, combines eco-friendliness with luxury.
While here you may also visit the Kanangorok Hot Springs, which are located just over six miles away and also set aside time to see the traditional Karamojong pastoralists.
