Amangani is situated in the heart of America's ski capital, half way between Teton Village and the town of Jackson. The hotel is built from Oklahoma sandstone with accents of glass and Pacific redwood, anf Eastern minimalist take on a rustic Western theme, and unlike anything in Wyoming if not all of the Rockies. Each of the 40 guest rooms includes a fireplace, king-sized platform bed, and a private balcony with a commanding view of the valley below. Bathrooms are huge, with slate walls, redwood floors, separate showers and baths with mountain views. Excellent views of the Tetons can also be enjoyed from zinc-top bar and a lounge, while Western style food with an emphasis on organic fare is served in the dining room.
No Aman resort would be complete without a world class spa. This one emphasises physical fitness over pampering, though the latter is certainly available. Outside a hundred-foot swimming pool is heated to a winter temperature of 80 degrees.
