Seychelles

The Seychelles were, according to legend, born from the tears of emotion bursting from the Creator as he gazed at his masterpiece. It certainly has some of the best beaches in the world. Nevertheless, it is much more than just a pretty face. Forty-one of its islands are the oldest mid-oceanic granite islands on earth while the remaining seventy-four are coral, making them appealing to nature lovers and divers alike. They are also one of the few places on earth where giant tortoises roam freely.

With so many places to visit - Bird Island for bird lovers, La Digue to see the world's most iconic beach, tours to see some of the rarest species of flora and fauna on earth and gems such as the legendary Vallée de Mai, home to the legendary Coco-de-Mer - there is never a dull moment. You can enjoy glass-bottomed boating or, if you are feeling more active, participate in world-class water-sports, golf or horse riding.

If all of that sounds too taxing, the Seychelles now also offers world-class spa facilities. Alternatively, dine out on unforgettable Creole and international cuisine that reflects the melting pot of culture you will find throughout the Seychelles.
