Heure Bleue Palais is set on the edge of Essaouira, once a former palace and now a fabulous Relais & Chateaux hotel, it enjoys stunning panoramic views of the town from its rooftop terrace.
All 35 guest rooms and suites are lavishly decorated to illustrate different themes that reflect the history of this ancient area, paying tribute to Portuguese, English, Oriental and African colonial influences.
The excellent cuisine also pays homage to different cultures, adeptly combining gourmet French cuisine with Moroccan and Oriental flavours. Dinner is served in the Moroccan lounge, which has an amazing sculpted ceiling, while lunch can be taken on the central patio, poolside on the rooftop terrace or in any of the Moroccan salons.
As well as an outdoor pool on the rooftop terrace, there is a fantastic spa, mountain biking, hiking, horse and camel riding, fishing, sailing, surfing, windsurfing and visits to local vineyards can be arranged.
