Built around a gorgeous little horseshoe-shaped lagoon just a few miles from fashionable Grande Baie, Paradise Cove is a small family run hotel where the levels of service will make you feel like you are an honoured family member.
Housed in traditional Mauritian buildings around the bay, the 67 air conditioned rooms and suites are also decorated in a chic island style with fine polished wooden furnishings, wonderful artworks and amusing touches such as pineapple shaped lamp bases. Each room also has a music system and huge balcony or terrace giving direct access to the private white beach or swimming pool.
With magical views overlooking the lagoon, the restaurants offer international, local and seafood specialities. La Cocoteraie's pavilions built over the shallows are particularly good for romantic dining.
There are also fantastic sporting opportunities at Paradise Cove. All the usual water sports are available, as well as island cruises aboard the hotel's catamaran and deep sea fishing for tuna, shark and marlin (the hotel's record marlin weighed 1088lbs). Tennis, archery, mountain biking, a Cinq Mondes Spa, a gym and beach volleyball are also available, with the added bonus of hotel instructors for all sports.
The name Paradise Cove is aptly chosen; small, personal and exceptionally friendly, it is the ultimate hideaway, offering intimacy with the facilities you would expect of a much larger hotel.
