The lodge and 30 rooms at Relais de la Reine blend so effortlessly with the sandstone rocks and canyons of Isalo National Park, that one would be forgiven for driving right past it. The 30 rooms are situated in clusters of 5 ground floor courtyard houses with 6 rooms each, all with en suite shower rooms and private terraces overlooking the gardens and rock formations. This comfortable and friendly lodge has a family-run atmosphere and offers two pools, plus treks and horse riding into the wonderful semi-desert environment of the park. This is one of the scenic highlights of Madagascar with troops of ring-tailed lemur and the stunning natural swimming pool, set in the heart of an otherwise parched canyon.
