Tsarabanjina is the kind of private island to be discovered in complete tranquillity, enhanced by the amazingly calm ocean filled with a variety of fish and lobster. It is one of the islets of the Mitsio Archipelago and renowned for its diving. Fringed by white sand beaches with extraordinary birds, lush vegetation and encircled by coral reefs, this sacred islet is bathed in sunshine all year round. On the small peninsula of the eastern beach one finds the tomb of the Sakalava kings of the Mitsio islands. To this day the people of the islands venerate this place and bring offerings including money, honey and rum. The unique 25 rosewood thatched bungalows built on the north and south beaches look out onto the ocean. There is a main bedroom equipped with fans, minibar and kimono, bathroom with shower and a separate loo and private terrace. It offers a number of activities like snorkelling, water skiing, tennis, sailing, beach volleyball, guided nature walks, scuba-diving, sports fishing and excursions to other islands.
