The infamous Venice Simplon-Orient-Express offers a rail experience unlike any other, allowing guests to explore and experience some of Europe's greatest cities including Venice, Paris, Budapest, Istanbul, Prague, Rome and Vienna, from the comfort of a luxurious carriage.
Each carriage has its own individual character steeped in tradition and history. During the day private compartments offer fantastic views of the passing landscape from the comfort of your seat. At night they are transformed into a cosy bedroom complete with crisp linen and soft towels. All are serviced by Cabin Stewards throughout the journey to ensure that all guests requests are quickly satisfied.
Meals on board the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express are an unforgettable experience, and guests are encouraged to dress for the occasion. The three restaurant cars; Lalique, Etoile du Nord and Chinoise are beautifuly decorated and yet are very individual. Breakfast and afternoon tea are served in the privacy of passengers' compartments. All dishes are freshly prepared using a blend of the finest ingredients collected from each country during the train's journey.
The bar car forms the heart of the train and is the perfect place to relax after dinner to enjoy the soothing tones of the resident pianist, and consider the next days' adventures.
