Just outside Florence, yet nestled within the scenic Tuscan hills, Il Salviatino provides an enchanting retreat with spectacular views over the Florence skyline. Local artisans unearthed historic treasures from the villa’s heyday, discovered elaborate frescoes under false ceilings and an amazing network of ancient pathways. Now Il Salviatino has been returned to its former glory.
Each of the rooms and suites are individually decorated and combine chic, contemporary living with the style of a bygone age. Handmade authentic Tuscan linens, rich buttery leathers, warm comforting hues and renaissance art all help make each one of these rooms and suites truly unique. Some of the suites offer mezzanine floors, optimising the dramatic high ceilings of the main house and in the terraced gardens, hillside suites offer private conservatories and sunken baths with quintessential Tuscan views. For the ultimate stay, Il Salviatino features its penthouse suites within the tower of the villa. The finest suite of the house includes three levels of luxury living complete with its own private and intimate terrace, with breathtaking views of Fiesole and the city of Florence.
Il Salviatino’s gardens stretch from the beautifully wild park land to the historic Italian garden, which has been meticulously restored to its original form under the supervision of the city’s Ministry of Culture. Guests can enjoy the cover of hundreds of protected trees, intricate networks of ancient pathways, centuries old mosaics and elegant glass houses. The food at Il Salviatino is prepared by Chef Carmine Calò, who brings his many years of experience at some of Italy’s Michelin star restaurants and seeks to explore the roots of authentic Tuscan cuisine using fresh local ingredients. Guests may dine virtually anywhere on property at any time creating an exceptional dining experience.
