Recently renovated to extremely high standards, Kings Pool camp is superbly located overlooking the Linyanti River and a lagoon teeming with elephant and hippo. It lies in a private reserve bordering the Chobe National Park, an unspoilt and rugged area renowned for its large wildlife resources and the enormous elephant population which peaks in the dry season.
The nine huge tented suites are some of the largest and most beautifully furnished on the safari scene. Linked to the main living areas by raised wooden decks, each includes a cool and elegantly decorated bedroom with a four-poster, a sitting area and outdoor sala, a private plunge pool and a bathroom deemed ‘possibly the best in Botswana’. In the main camp there is also a swimming pool sunk into the deck for downtime between safaris.
As the camp lies outside National Park boundaries, night drives and walking safaris are an option as well as daytime expeditions. There is also a series of hides, including one underground, for close quarter wildlife watching. It all makes for animal magic on a grand scale.
