Combining the character of an English country house with the tropical beauty of the Caribbean, Cobblers Cove in Barbados is one of only eight Caribbean hotels and restaurants to be honoured with membership of the prestigious Relais & Châteaux group. Intimate and comfortable, Cobblers Cove is decorated in classic English style with mahogany furniture and charming botanical prints. The Terrace Restaurant at Cobblers Cove, separated from the beach by only a white balustrade, has long been applauded as a flagship of Bajan haute cuisine. The chefs, lead by Irish chef Brian Porteous, dazzle their guests’ palates with cooking that takes full advantage of the local produce. Six times winner of the Barbados Gold Award, the restaurant also has an extensive and highly enjoyable wine list.
A fresh water pool set just back from the beach is the perfect place in which to wind down after a day enjoying the powder-soft sand and complimentary water sports. Spa treatments and therapies are available in the hotel’s new facility. For golfers, Cobblers Cove has a privilege system in place at the Royal Westmoreland Golf and Country Club.
