Beauty and tranquillity is the focus, where guests of Jumby Bay can expect a sophisticated blend of indigenous Caribbean characteristics, fused with diverse culinary offerings, exceptional accommodation and impeccable service.
Spread across nearly a third of the island are 28 new suites, 12 beautifully refurbished rooms, 12 villas and a collection of estate homes. Each room is an oasis of luxury with amber coloured floor tiles, woven bamboo mats, rich woods, cane chairs and a palette of pale cream and café au lait set against cool, white plaster walls. Relaxation comes naturally in sitting areas with oversized pillows, private verandas set with elegant teak furnishings, colonialstyle four-poster beds covered in fine Italian linens and spacious bathrooms. A collection of staffed Private Estate Residences located on the island are also available by request and range from four bedrooms upwards.
The Sense, A Rosewood Spa, with five treatment suites surrounding a dramatic sculpture garden, each with a private terrace overlooking the sea offering a range of world-class pampering treatments.
Dining is as varied as one might imagine with three venues to choose from and regularly changing menus. The Verandah Restaurant and Bar offers fine continental cuisine with an emphasis on seafood and steaks alongside a boutique wine list and also plays host to the resort’s cookery school. A stunning oceanfront infinity pool is the centrepiece of The Pool Grille and Bar which offers casual favourites in a decidedly relaxed but stylish atmosphere throughout the day. The Estate House, built circa-1830, has now become Jumby Bay’s evening playground. Fruity island concoctions, single-malt Scotch and even Cuban cigars from the humidor are complemented by fine cuisine with a Mediterranean twist.
With a menu of activities which extends from tennis and swimming to cycling around the island, deepsea fishing, yachting, cruising and shopping trips to the mainland as well as on-island nanny services, everyone will be well looked after and left feeling refreshed after a stay at Jumby Bay.
