On the tiny paradise island of Anguilla, Cap Juluca has scooped award after award for its unparalleled luxury, friendly ultra-professional service and fairytale architecture. Service is, predictably, faultless. Raise a flag on the beach and chilled towels, drinks or lunch will appear. There is also a terrific array of land and water based sporting facilities, including kayaking, snorkelling, windsurfing, water-skiing and sailing. Temenos golf course, designed by Greg Norman, offers 18 challenging, dramatic holes with views of St Martin and the Caribbean Sea. No wonder it is the favourite haunt of those who want a little taste of heaven.
