To the east of Morocco, between the Sahara Desert and the Mediterranean Sea, lies Tunisia, a fabulously exotic destination within easy reach of northern Europe.

Known as ‘the bread basket of the Roman Empire’ in ancient times, it is still famous for its delicious food, a legacy to the country’s French colonial past.

If one needs to work off all that delicious food golf, tennis, diving, riding, surfing and sailing are available all year round, plus windsurfing can be arranged at many resorts. Trekking in the mountains also offers the opportunity to get away from it all, while therapy of a more commercial nature is afforded by the souks.
